Can a breast lift help with back problems?

Yes: Back, neck and shoulder pain can be improved by a breast reduction. A breast lift is more of a cosmetic operation, but since some tissue is removed, back symptoms can improve.

Not exactly.: Most breast reductions are done for back and neck pain caused by the weight of large breasts, and these often reduce back pain. A breast lift is done to put sagged breasts back into a more normal position. These do not include removal of much (if any) breast tissue, so would not be expected to be very effective in helping with back problems.

Heavy painful breast: Not a lift but a reduction... First get fitted for proper bras/support garments. Second consider physical therapy. Third discuss with your internist or family care physician and discuss referral to a plastic surgeon and/or breast specialist.

Breast reduction: Is more likely to help your symptoms, because a reduction takes away the extra weight of a big breast. A breast lift just re-packages the breast into a smaller, up-liften skin envelope - but the weight is the same, so the symptoms will probably continue.
