No connection: Small bowel obstruction from scar tissue (or adhesions) is caused by scarring that is external to the small intestine, usually caused by previous abdominal surgery or infection. I am not aware that any special diet will increase or decrease the risk of this happening.

Hernia: Well, additional surgery can cause even more scar tissue to form. However, if your bowel obstructions are occurring more frequently and are more severe, surgery may be the only answer. If the obstructions are from the stoma hernia, you should probably get that fixed.

Hard to say: If you are having bowels obstruct, then you need surgery. Better to repair this when you are doing fair than an emergency. You have an emergency bowel obstruction and it could mean weeks in the hospital. An elective surgery is six times less risky.

No easy fix.: Unfortunately, there is no medication that can dissolve intra-abdominal adhesions.  Furthermore, taking the adhesions down surgically ("adhesionolysis") can cause more adhesions!  thankfully, most people with adhesions never develop small bowel obstructions (sbo), and many of those that have sbos will get better without surgery.

Enema and/or Biopsy: Biopsies are usually done before Hirschsprung's disease surgery to ensure that all affected segments are removed. You might indeed have scar tissue or adhesions resulting from your surgery. A contrast enema could help identify areas prone to obstruction. This enema may also identify aganglionic Hirschsprung's sections that may need biopsy before further surgery. GI consultation may be helpful.

Sometimes: "intussusception"  a spontaneous "strangulation" of the bowel may the reason (no known cause) or ANY PRIOR abdominal surgery!!!

Depends on details: A patient with an obstruction needs to work with her primary care doctor and gastroenterologist to see how to eat, drink, and poop. For example, if a person has a complete obstruction, and takes a laxative... where would the poop go? If she is completely blocked... the strongest laxative in the world will just give her the strongest cramps... but where would the poop go? Each person is different!

Depends: Did you have surgery to treat the obstruction? Were you hospitalized and treated medically only? Are you describing bowel constipation? Takes 4-6 weeks to recover from surgery. Takes a few days to recover after medical treatment. Would need much more detailed medical information to answer further.

Pain: Usually severe abdominal pain either localized or diffusely thru the abdomen, fever, distention of the abdomen qand a change in bowels. If in doubt go to pcp or er and get an xray or ct scan. The sooner it is diagnosed and treated the better you will.

Numerous: Usually abdominal pain, distention of the abdomen, nausea, vomitting, no bm or flatus for longer than normal. Most patient will also have a history of prior abdominal surgery of some kind as most obstructions are due to ssurgical adhesions. However tumors, benign or malignant can also cause obstruction as well as strictures from inflammation. Get checked.
