No easy fix.: Unfortunately, there is no medication that can dissolve intra-abdominal adhesions. Furthermore, taking the adhesions down surgically ("adhesionolysis") can cause more adhesions! thankfully, most people with adhesions never develop small bowel obstructions (sbo), and many of those that have sbos will get better without surgery.

None: You can't unfortunately. Eat a well balanced diet, drink appropriate amounts of water and exercise. You will always have a higher risk of sbo due to prior surgery but it doesn't mean you will for sure suffer.

SBO: Unfortunately there are no non-surgical ways to dissolve a sbo from scar tissue. Sometimes some conservative measures such as nothing by mouth or nasogastric decompression and intravenous hydration can be attempted prior to surgical intervention.
