in my x ray says that there is a suspicious density in the right apex. the diaphragm is sharp and distinct. the heart is not enlarge the trachea is at the midline and the osseousthoracic cage shows no significant bony abnormalities what does it mean?

: it means there is a nodule, lesion abnormal area that needs further assessment . May need CT of  chest or MRI and follow up with  pulmonologist as may want to due biopsy. May be granuloma  as in infection like histoplasmosis or TB or may be tumor.

i have no active pulmonary lesions, no active pulmonarytuberculosis and pneumonia, no abnormal mass lesions(lung cancer etc.), and no bony abnormalities. but i havepain in chest. can you explain why it might be so?

Normal: This sounds like a description of the negative findings on a chest x-ray.  Pa refers to the way the x-ray was taken.  Tbc refers to tuberculosis.  In other words no abnormalities found - a normal chest x-ray.

? Old fracture: This could be an old fracture with a callous formation.  If you have never had a fracture, you should see a doctor for further evaluation of the lump.

hi, i'm 36 and i have a 3cmx2cm bony lump on my forehead, i am worried it could be a sarcoma as an x ray showed there are abnormalities and was unclear and i'm being sent to a bone cancer specialist. is there a good chance it will be benign?

Forehead lump: If this bony growth has not been present for many years in an unchanged state it is important to definitively determine its nature and have it evaluated by the proper specialist. It may require a biopsy to obtain an accurate tissue diagnosis and if it's a malignant growth early diagnosis and treatment is a plus.

Probably: I do have a lot of patients that come to my office complaining of a "boney lump" as you call it at the back of the neck.  It is usually the spinous process of the C7or T 1 vertebrae, which are normal structures.  In some patients they can be quite prominent.  I would not hesitate to be seen if you are concerned.

how long have you had it, if its hard and been there for long , its probably bony protuberance. if its painful, it can be shaved surgically. I would suggest seeing a doctor so they can examine and confirm

Bone Spur: Boney growths are usually a "reactive" growth, whether from chronic pressure or shoe irritation, or arthritis in a joint causing surrounding boney spurs to grow.  Usually these are either padded to shield pressure away from the lesion, or surgical intervention may be performed to remove bone spurs.

i've developed a bony bump on the top of of my rt foot. what could cause that.

A few possibilities: The bump could be a thickening in one of your foot tendons, or it could be a ganglion cyst arising from one of your foot joints. It could also be an area of swelling from trauma. If it does not hurt/bother you, OK to just monitor.
