If you have two or more culture positive infections in a six month period, you should see a urologist.

Hematuria: You need to go to see a urologist to rule out any bleeding from your kidneys or your bladder. You will need a renal ultrasound and possibly an intravenous pyelogram to see if your kidneys are the source of hematuria. If those exams are negative, you will need to have a cystoscopy so the urologist can look at your urinary bladder's wall to see if that is the cause of your hematuria.

UTI: This would be characteristic of hemorrhagic cystitis, most likely due to a bacterial infection of the bladder.Your physician may want you to get a urine culture and colony count and then start you on antibiotics even before the results are back in 48 hours or so. I have done this for many young female patients who generally have less serious urinary tract infections than males or older women.

Hematuria: You need to see a urologist (u). Hematuria (h) is a symptom, not a diagnosis. It could be coming from your kidney, or  bladder. You  need to have various tests to diagnose the cause. A renal ultrasound,  an intravenous pyelogram and if these do not give you the cause, a cystoscopy where the urologist looks at your bladder. If the u finds no cause for the h, see a nephrologist as you may have a gn.
