Foods: I prefer food sources of calcium as the are better absorbed and assimilated where we want them - cottage cheese, yoghurt. Too much ca supplement without vit d and vit k and you end up with concern for entering vessel walls leading to plaquing - not good.  Best oral supplement if you are dairy allergic is ca citrate as best absorbed.

Then for every hour in a plane and doors are shut, whether at the gate, on the runway or at 40 thousand feet, add an additional 20 oz per hour to the average requirement. This will also markedly reduce jet lag as well if flying over seas
