can statins (lipitor and crestor specifically) cause changes in taste? many foods (either acidic foods or certain proteins, i can't isolate it) that i once enjoyed are distasteful. other foods taste normal. the statins are the only consistent change.

Dysgeuzia: While possible, it would be uncommon for statins to cause your dysgeuzia or taste alteration. That can be easily tested with your prescriber’s permission by stopping taking statin for couple of weeks. Would rather recommend starting with an oral exam either with your dentist or PCP. I suspect your condition reflects early symptoms of a different medical condition. Watch your weight as well.

drank like 4 ounces of expired milk on accident. made a protein shake and left like 4 oz left on the counter for a while and i drank it.and i guess since it was mixed w the protein shake it didnt taste spoiled as much. tips on food poisoning?

See below: It is not clear that you have food poisoning - (you don't mention diarrhea, or other symptoms- ) If the milk did not have obvious discoloration, or signs of bacterial growth, it is probably fine - and I would not worry unless you get gastrointestinal symptoms-good luck

Fats are more calorie dense, but you should aim for healthy options such as nuts, flax seeds (that have omega 3), olive oil, coconut oil, and making sure you are combining nutrients each time you eat.  Combine a fat, protein, and a carbohydrate to help keep your blood sugar stable.

I think it depends: My brief research into this suggests it is debatable &amp; depends somewhat on your goals: bodybuilding vs. fat loss vs. maintenance. More carbs are needed for body building, and many fewer for fat loss.  40-60% carbs are recommended for body building, with 25-35% protein and 15-25% fat. You might target somewhere in the middle: 50% carbs, 30% protein, 20% fat. Good luck!
