Depends: If it has changed from the 10% to the 97% since birth, I would be more concerned than if it was big all along. If his height and weight are on the larger side it would be more consistent with a normal variant. It didn't bother me much in life, except when looking for a helmet that would fit.

That would be a slow: trajectory of head growth, which reflects brain growth. Review growth curve for his corrected age, not chronological age, with his pediatrician. Subtract his gestational age at birth in weeks from 40 weeks. Subtract the difference from his current chronological age in weeks.Slow velocity of head growth warrants both medical evaluation &amp; a developmental assessment by an Early Intervention Program.

It is just a number: Around 42 cm (16-17 in). The number is somewhat meaningless from a medical standpoint... sort of like hair color. If one asks, "What is the average hair color of a 6 year-old girl", the answer is a meaningless color. Head circumference percentiles are compared to the percentiles of the parent's head sizes. Thus, if the parents have smaller heads, we don't worry about their babies' smaller heads.

: It is important that the head circumference was appropriately measured and you may want to put it on the growth chart. The head and body would grow with aging however the proportion of the head to the body would shrink over time. The trend on the growth chart should help you and also discuss with your pediatrician. If the baby is well why worry?

Normal: Everything you're hearing is completely normal. Adults makes noises in their sleep and so do babies.
You should not be concerned.

Doctor can check: A pediatrician can check, or a pediatric dentist can check.  It sounds unusual to have an "orange" lump on the palate.  Was there any injury such as a milk bottle with milk that was too hot?  Details like that are helpful for the doctor.  Little white firm bumps on young babies' palates or gums are "epstein's pearls", but are not "orange".

Head size : 49.5cm is larger than normal per chat attached. That does not automatically mean that your child has something terribly wrong. In some families there is a tendency to have large heads without any medical problem. Doctors mostly worry when the head size increases more quickly than expected, as this could mean there is a problem causing rapid increase in the head size.

good morning, my 6 month old has plagiocephaly. what can we do to improve or recover the shape of her head?

Depends: Simple plagiocephaly self recovers when the kid begins to spend more time upright. It is the natural result of reclining on their back to sleep/play with weight of their face/head &amp; open skull sutures allowing the change. Remove the weight/gravity &amp; the head resumes its more rounded shape. There are helmets that speed the process but these are seldom worth the effort.

See below: Most likely not to worry.  Repetitive movement behavior in infants is common.  Watch this, protect his head and talk to pediatrician during his well check up.
