Get checked: Swelling and pain in the ankles can be caused by multiple things such as diet, blood pressure, kidney function, circulation, nerves, injury, previous surgery...Basically many things. You need to see your primary doctor and jot down more info about when do you notice the swelling, does it every go down, when does it hurt, what is your diet, etc. Get checked.

i have lumps on my lower extremities size of a pea, mainly around my ankles and a bit above them. i started to notice one or two about two weeks ago and now ive got anywhere from 7-10. its caused pain when doing physical activity. what is it?

: You should see your family doctor for a better assessment. Those lesions are not normal and they may sometimes related to a systemic disease.

? Hematoma: You may have accumulation of blood under the outer lining of the bone, subperiosteal hematoma. If the swelling does not subside in a couple of weeks you should see your doctor for further evaluation.

i have a brown discolored lump on my lower left shin near my ankle. its swollen, it hurts and warm to touch and causes my ankle to swell. please help!

Possible Abscesses: It sounds like you may have some abscesses with or without cellulitis.  You may need antibiotics and possible drainage of the abscesses if they are fully formed.  In the meantime analgesia like paracetamol and ibuprofen will help but also running the area under hot water and soap as often as it is convenient should help.  You should let a doctor take a look at it.

Can U Be  specific ?: Where in the leg is the lump? Leg is between the knee and ankle joints. It could be anything, arising from skin, fat, muscle or the bone. If its near a joint then it could be from joint tissues.
If there is any injury to it, then it could be a collection of blood or fluid, which will improve over 2 weeks time, otherwise you need to see a doctor to have it checked.

Many possibilities: Some causes of painful “lumps and bumps” may include: bony overgrowths, soft tissue masses, ganglions, fibromas, and cysts.  Have it evaluated by a professional to get the right diagnosis.

Ball of foot pain: Sorry to hear, yes you should see a doctor and refer to a specialist for xrays and exam.  The pain could be caused by many things, metatarsalgia (pain in metatarsal bones), capsulitis (inflammed joints), ligament tear (plantar plate rupture), neuroma (impinged nerve), foreign body, stress fracture, etc.  Hope this helps, please let me know if you have other questions. Really should be exa: Tough to know what going on without seeing where is and examining. Could be a ganglion. I would suggest seeing a podiatrist.

Lump: If it has been there for six months, be seen by an MD.  A few possible things it may be are a lymph node, a hernia, a sebaceous cyst, lipoma or carbuncle.
