Really should be exa: Tough to know what going on without seeing where is and examining. Could be a ganglion. I would suggest seeing a podiatrist.

Don't mess with it.: If you are running painlessly with a dime size lump on your foot, I see no reason to have someone fool with it. The lump will do one of three things. Go away, stay the same or enlarge. Two out of three ain't bad. Leave it alone unless the nature of the lump changes radically.
