I have a lump right above my leg crease in the hip area (not sure what that area is called exactly)it's been there 6 months and causes pain?

Lump: If it has been there for six months, be seen by an MD. A few possible things it may be are a lymph node, a hernia, a sebaceous cyst, lipoma or carbuncle.

New lump? Get seen!: It is hard to say what this could be by the limited description possible in the short questions allowed here. However, any mass that is new and does not go away in 4-6 weeks, needs to be evaluated to make sure it is nothing serious. How serious is impossible to say, but since it is causing pain and is new, you need to be examined in person soon! Good luck!
