Abdominal pain.: Pain such as yours is often due to diverticulitis, but there are many other potential causes. Polyps do not generally cause any pain or discomfort.  The type of polyp is just as important as the number and size.  Seems like your doctors understand that and have you on a good screening schedule.

Almost no chance.: Assuming that your colonoscopist was able to visualize all of the lining of the colon and was able to remove any polyps that were there, your chance of developing colon cancer in the intervening five years is almost 0. Be sure to do your next procedure at the time recommended, however, and report to your doctor if you have any new symptoms. Good health!

: How long were the symptoms?  If these symptoms were less than one week of duration, acute gastroenteritis may last that long. The gallbladder polyp is just a coincidental finding, not related to the current illness. If CT of the abdomen is done, the finding of bowel wall thickening will be present. The disease is usually limited, taking imodium OTC, prn. for diarrhea and eating small meals.

Very low: If the colonoscopy was done correctly, there is negligible risk of your developing colon cancer in 20 months. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor.

Polyp: It is unlikely that the polyp is causing symptoms. Often there is more than one polyp. It's possible that you passed a gall stone previously or there may be sludge in the gall bladder not seen on imaging. My advice is to consult an abdominal surgeon and a gastroenterologist to rule out liver causes and discuss advisability of laparoscopic removal of your gall bladder and polyp.

For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

No, wait for report: The tissue should have been submitted to a pathologist for examination and you will get a report in a couple of days. At this stage there is nothing to be concerned about.

Depending on: the histology of the polyp survillance colonoscopy may be required every 3- 5 years except for hyperplastic polyp which has no cancer potential

Very slowly if at al: Colon polyps can change into cancer but usually take a long time(monthst o years).Yet it is a good idea to get it removed before it gets much bigger and there is also some uncertainty as to how long it takes to become cancerous.
