How long can a 5mm adenomatous colon polyp take to turn into malignant cancer?

Very slowly if at al: Colon polyps can change into cancer but usually take a long time(monthst o years).Yet it is a good idea to get it removed before it gets much bigger and there is also some uncertainty as to how long it takes to become cancerous.
