Polyp: It is unlikely that the polyp is causing symptoms. Often there is more than one polyp. It's possible that you passed a gall stone previously or there may be sludge in the gall bladder not seen on imaging. My advice is to consult an abdominal surgeon and a gastroenterologist to rule out liver causes and discuss advisability of laparoscopic removal of your gall bladder and polyp.

A low: fat diet might avoid surgery but if too "restrictive"before you have your gallbladder removed REMEMBER the "storage" function will be gone for a while and you may still have SIGNIFICANT FATTY FOOD INTOLERANCE! Hope this is helpful Dr Z
