Rigid muscles (spasticity) is a symptom in which a person has unusual muscle tightness or increased muscle tone. Reflexes such as the knee-jerk reflex are stronger or faster than normal. Rigidity or spasticity can cause problems with walking, movement, speaking, eating, etc.
