Uterine artery embolization
Uterine artery embolization is a procedure done by a radiologist. They inject a small amount of material into the uterine artery to reduce blood flow to the uterus. This can be done to treat severe bleeding after delivery of the baby. This procedura also is performed in non pregnant women to reduce the size of benign fibroid tumors in the uterus.
