Not a condition: Uterine artery embolization (uae) is actually a medical/surgical procedure and not a medical condition. Uae is often used to treat fibroids in the uterus. It involves delivering particles through a catheter into the arteries providing the blood supply to these large uterine masses. By blocking the blood supply, the fibroids shrink and may no longer cause symptoms.
