Open reduction
It is essentially using an open approach, or incision, to visualize and approximate and repair fragments of a bone fracture. It typically requires an incision, occasionally and open fracture with skin wound allows this to occur with making an incision. It is commonly used for complex fractures or ones that do not respond to closed reduction (no incision)
