No: The most commonly performed bariatric (weight loss) surgery procedures are laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding and roux-en-y gastric bypass. There are some other surgical procedures, such as sleeve gastrectomy and jejunoileal bypass, in addition to liposuction, but i don't know of any methods involving laser therapy yet.

Laser liposuction: Laser liposuction is the permanent removal of fat under the skin. The laser melts the fat and the cannula suctions out the fat. The laser can then tighten the skin. The other noninvasive forms of fat reduction are temporary.

Be careful: There are many noninvasive lasers that claim to remove fat. Review these claims carefully. Most of the noninvasive treatments do not live up to their claims or perhaps result in only temporary fat reduction at best. Laser liposuction is the permanent removal of fat under the skin and is a surgical procedure. The laser melts the fat and the cannula suctions out the fat.
