It Depends!: Many types of fractures require this kind of repair. How long it takes depends on the location of the fracture (which bone), how bad the break it, and what other injuries or health problems the person needing the surgery has. Also, complications can arise during any surgical procedure and delay things. The orthopedist or other specialist doing the surgery is the best person to ask.
