Don't know : There is no simple solution to weight loss. But the goal to any weight loss regime should be reducing caloric consumption while burning more calories.

See below: Yes but slowly..Dry moong dal contains 334 to 358 calories per 100 g, with substantial amounts of fiber and protein, and no cholesterol. Typical recipes using moong dal can range from 150 to 350 calories per cup, depending on the other ingredients used. If you are trying to reduce calories, choose recipes that use very little oil.
