Delayed motor development is a clinical finding in which a baby or child does not exhibit normal movement skills (including strength, balance, or coordination) given his age. A gross motor delay is a condition in which a child is slow to develop his gross motor skills, which are large movements of his arms, legs, feet, or body. Crawling, running, and jumping are examples of gross motor skills.
