Assessment requires: history of pregnancy, labor, delivery, head/ body growth, & medical issues , physical & neurological exams of muscle tone & strength of trunk & extremities, deep tendon reflexes, disappearance of primitive reflexes & development of protective reflexes at the right ages to determine if MRI of the brain, genetic testing, etc. are needed. Occupational & Physical Therapy evaluations guide treatment.
