Was told by a gi nurse that crohn's patients shouldnt have children bc they can have development delays. any truth to that?

No: People with crohn's disease have healthy children too. Having children is very personal. You might want to check with your OB to see if you are healthy enough to tolerate a pregnancy. Best wishes.

No: This is not true. There are some challenges to getting pregnant with crohn's disease and it typically involves maintaining your remission with medications that are safe for your baby. Your gastroenterologist really needs to be involved for this family planning. They may refer you to another one that has more expertise in helping pregnant women. However most are comfortable managing this.
