I might have a pilonidal cyst above my butt crack, help, i'm scared?

Pilonidal cyst: Dear enamu1, it is normal to be scared if you have something that may need to be treated surgically. Please go see a physician earlier rather than later, as the intervention might be much smaller now, compared to when you wait and the problem grows out of hand. Maybe antibiotics only can do to trick now, compared to a big surgery later. Best of luck!

Don't panic!: Most are pretty benign. Is it infected ? Abx will NOT cure a pilonidal cyst. They can help clear the infection and surrounding cellulitis that can occur when the cyst becomes infected. .... but not the cyst itself. The cyst needs to be removed if bothering you. If not bothering you can be safely watched.
