Prior symptoms: An abscess at that location is lightly due to a pilonidal cyst. A history of previous drainage, or a prior abscess at that location increase the chances.

Doctor: Sounds like a pilonidal cyst, but it definitely needs to be seen by a doctor.

Assume it is: These arise from hair bearing skin usually in the location you describe. External rubbing can contribute to the process. Those working in situations that require sitting for long periods add to the risk.I would assume it is and have it looked at.

I have a small moveable, painful lump at the top of my butt crack. Is this a pilonidal cyst? Slightly larger than a pea.

Probably Not: Pilonidal cysts are not very mobile. If this is movable, it may be some other benign process. I'd recommend seeing your doc for further eval.

I think i hav a pilonidal cyst on my butt crack, but i'm not sure if its a fistula or cyst, can u tell me the difference ? It's not that painful

By examination: If you don't have pain most likely you have non infected pilonidal sinus, anal fistulas are associated with pain . You have to see your doctor.
