I have one small red pimple like bump with a little bit of white on the surface inside my vulva near the opening opening. it only itches on that side and i have no other symptoms. could it be herpes? i have to wait 5 days to see a gyno?

This certainly could be herpes, either a very mild first infection or a recurrent outbreak of a previous infection if acquired more than 2-3 months ago. Accurate HSV testing by PCR test of the lesion should be done ASAP; 5 days may be too late. Try and work out a quicker visit, if only for a quick swab and out the door; in that case, the result may be available for your appointment in 5 days.

A blood test can also be done, but if this is new herpes, it's too soon to show anything. For sure have PCR, and also make sure that if positive the lab determines HSV type 1 or 2, very important.
