38 days ago, unprotected sex with woman. everything was fine until a week ago. low grade fever, chills but now as i write this my mouth feels like cotton and have a white tongue with white spots in mouth. im afraid to test. thrush? am i a lost cause?

The best thing is to get tested rather than the debilitating effect of anxiety. The STD screen including HIV testing if negative gives you a new lease that allows you make better choices in the future; otherwise you get treated fast to have the best prognosis possible.
