There have been reports of blood in urine after inguinal hernia mesh repair and I was able to find one report of hematospermia occurring postop. Did your surgeon offer any explanation or recommendation to consult a urologist? Blood in sperm is almost always a harmless symptom.

It is difficult to imagine an un-eventful hernia causing blood in semen. No it is not normal but could be co-incidenta. Pl see a Urologistl
