Likely unrelated to surgery. Women in early 40’s oft begin climacteric (early menopause) change which can include irregular bleed cycles w. unusual amounts of blood flow. Blood flow as described not dangerous & best specialist to diagnose & treat would be a Gynecologist. If blood flow includes cramps, much heavier than a normal period & causes lightheadedness with standing then poss. need go to ER

Agree with Dr. B. Get it checked out with your gynecologist. You may tale oral iron and multivitamins to prevent anemia from blood loss.
