If you had a known exposure to infectious syphilis, you should have been treated with penicillin. If you just mean a high risk sexual event without known syphilis exposure, you should have had a syphilis blood test a few weeks later. If negative, it proves you didn't catch it. Itchy palms or anywhere else is not a syphilis symptom. If any doubt, have a syphilis blood test now. Good luck.
