A 33-year-old female asked:
Is the urge to poop while drinking hot caffeinated tea (sometimes i actually do go, other times just gas or very little comes out,) is this considered tenesmus or sign of colon cancer?

It is likely the laxative effect of caffeine finding different amounts of stool in the bowels and that sometimes may result in tenesmus. While colon cancer cannot be ruled out, it remains unclear for why you would think of it specifically in the above mentioned context (timing clearly suggesting effect of caffeinated drink).
