Im in my early 30's,family history off colon polyps, if i see mucus sometimes in my stool(i drink flaxseed powder) can it be the start of colon cancer?

Colitis: changes in bowel fucntion can easily be explained by diet. Colon polyps can be asymptomatic. More concerning symptms are blood in the BM and changes in shape of BM

Polyps?: Dr. Lipton already answered your question expertly, just wanted to have you think about your family history of polyps. Is not the same to have a few polyps in a few family members (which is not too rare) as is to have lots of family members with lots of polyps each. If it is the later, consider talking to a specialist in genetics. People with inherited traits can get cancer even at young age.
