It is good that you are planning to see a psychologist. You may consider seeing a psychiatrist. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

Rather unlikely that your BCPs or Lamictal would cause your emotional changes, especially if these have been taken for several months. A psychiatrist would be the better initial choice and then appropriate therapeutic approaches could be decided. A psychologist skilled in cognitive behavioral therapy might be the next step.
