The rash would occur within the first few weeks, and if itchy, lamotrigine should be stopped, as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome is life-threatening. Otherwise is a safe, well-tolerated drug, without oral contraceptive interactions, and likely without significant issues regarding teratogenic risks if pregnancy ensued. Discuss with your doctor.
