A member asked:

When should you start to look into levels of bilirubin in your urine? i keep getting yeast infections both bladder and vaginal (as well as a fungal nail infection) and had ecoli bladder infection five weeks ago?

The breakdown products of bilirubin end up in the urine as do the breakdown products of many waste products. Following them is of no significance when dealing with yeast or bladder infections. They are a marker for liver metabolism that is unrelated.

You dont need to look for bilirubin in your urine unless you have jaundice or liver disease. Bladder yeast infection is rare. vaginal mostly occurs after taking oral antibiotics . fungal nail infection is not related to either. See your MD for a good exam which should include urine and blood in the meantime drink 5-6 glasses of water, keep good vaginal hygiene, and void when you have the urge.
