You need an exam. A self-exam might help. Pain should always be investigated. You can palpate, meaning to touch (or in this case hold between fingers and thumb) first lightly, then with increasing pressure to locate/reproduce the pain. Then, feel for lumps or defects. You may have a Bartholin Cyst or other infection. If you do or its not obviously benign go back to your gynecologist right away.
