Need exam: This may be related to a yeast infection, or many other conditions, including sexually transmitted infections or skin diseases. You should get examined by a health care provider to get a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. You should abstain from intimate, skin-to-skin contact until you have been examined.

Not necessarily: Family history - mother's and father's, and sibling's - can suggest a predilection for ear infections, but it is only a tendency, not definite. If there is a family history, monitor closely.
A 21-year-old member asked:

I'm a man, should I get human papilloma virus vaccine to avoid genital warts and cancer?

4 doctor answers9 doctors weighed in
Dr. Michael Klein

Yes: The vaccine has been approved by the fda for ages 9-26 in men. The biggest advantage of the vaccine is to reduce the spread of the virus to women, which can be aided by reducing the number of men with the virus. Male genital cancer is much rarer than female cervical cancer, so the major benefit is preventing some types of warts an spread to women.

OTC or Rx: You can start with simple over the counter antihistamines like claritin, zyrtec, Allegra (get generic store brands to save money). If those don't work, your next step is to start with your pcp and you may benefit from nasal steroid sprays (flomase, nasonex, (mometasone) rhincort)!or antihistamine nasal sprays (astepro, astelin, patanase).

Return to your Docto: If pain is not better after few seats of antibiotics, you either have the wrong antibiotics or something else is causing the pain, so you better return to be checked.
