This sounds pretty typical for a vaginal yeast infection, although more severe than most. Probiotics might help prevent yeast infections, but have no effect as treatment. You should have been started on anti-yeast treatment without waiting for any test result: discuss with your doctor. Or perhaps start self treatment with almost any "azole" cream or suppository; discuss with pharmacist.
