I tested positive for hpv in june. the procedure was a swap of the tip my urethra. i found out that the procedure for my test was wrong. kindly advise how best to know my status. i currently have what looks like a genital wart on my pubic area?

Men without symptoms should not be tested for HPV. Almost everybody has HPV anyway, so why test? When HPV testing in males is done for research, maximum yield requires swabbing of the entire penis in several locations; in some studies, even sandpaper was used to provide the best sample. Also the anal area, even if no anal sex contact. A skin bump in the pubic area probably isn't a genital wart.
