Preventing HIV: Post-exposure prophlaxis (PEP) with anti-HIV drugs is very effective, but is pointless when started 7 days after exposure. It must be started within 3 days, preferably within 48 hours. It will have no effect in preventing HIV. And testing while taking the drug is pointless; your negative results so far are meaningless. You'll need testing for a few weeks after you finish treatment.
