HSV: Hsv is often a clinical diagnosis. Igm is the antibody produced earliest in a viral infection so if this was positive, then it means an acute infection. Igg is produced later in the infection and/or after infection has cleared. Igg will probably turn positive at a later time, but treating the hsv with an oral anti-viral is most important, not the igm/igg results.
