Antibody response: The positive IgG antibody level against HSV-1 indicates past infection (this is generally spread via skin contact and usually causes cold sores). The elevated IgG is not necessarily related to a currently active (or recent reactivation of) infection; but it could increase in these instances. This level generally would not need any follow up.

Thank for your help. My IGg HSV-1 level was 38.10 post 5.5 week encounter with a woman who is positive. We had oralsex & kissing. Is this normal after a one time encounter. Other forums have told me with those numbers Ive had it for a while?
Hsv 2 igg test negative in July. Had minimal genital contact with hsv positive woman, no symptoms showing. Retested 4 months later and came back with 0.91 (equivocal). Range is less than 0.9 for neg, 0.9 to 1.09 for equivocal. Should I be worried?
I tested HSV-1 IgG positive (22.5) but HSV -2 negative. Last year I tested all came negative. I have been with few partners after that. No one had any visible symptoms too. I have no symptoms or outbreaks so far. So how I got or should repeat results?
Hsv 2 Igg test says 1.25 positive Test was done 7/26/21 the hsv 2 dna pcr test results came back not detected test was performed 7/16/21. I had a partner(female) March of this year. I have had no outbreaks or sores b4 or after these tests. What I do?
