Igg test came back + for hsv1.i've been having itching on labia majora before my period every month,but no sores. could this be from genital herpes?

HSV1 is not: Consistent with genital herpes. The only way to positively diagnose either is with culture. Would recommend seeing your doc for this important skin test.

Could be: Genital lesions are usually due to HSV 2, but HSV 1 can cause genital lesions. It would be prudent to get the actual lesions tested as the itching may not be due HSV at all. Having HSV 1 and genital itching does not mean the two are related.
