Options: First you should make sure you have been fully evaluated for pcos to make sure it is safe to become pregnant (for instance to check for pre-diabetes). Birth control pills wont delay becoming pregnant, but most women with pcos require some sort of fertility treatment so often seeing a specialist in advance of stopping pills is helpful.

Condoms: Pco is a chronic condition that can be well treated , but doesn't go away with treatment. Some women with pco have difficulty getting pregnant when they are ready, but not all.Using condoms for birth control can allow you to see how regular your periods are. If they are irregular, you should see your doctor about this. You should also take prenatal vitamins with folate (folic acid) to prepare for pregnancy.
