Yes, but...: The pap smear is a screening test for cervical cancer. During a pap smear, your doctor takes a sampling of cells from the cervix, which may cause trauma and bleeding from the cervix. Mild bleeding or spotting can last for two days after. If the bleeding persists for any longer, or if the bleeding is very heavy, you should call your doctor.

Pap smear: It can be normal. Are you on contraception? This would make this symptom more common.
