A member asked:

Can psoriasis cause biological false positive syphilis (rpr)? can i have bfp syphilis and have nothing wrong with me and never get autoimmune disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Autoimmune conditions such as psoriasis can cause false positive tests for syphilis but is is more common in patients with lupus than psoriasis. As there are other possible causes for a false positive test, I would not assume that it is the psoriasis.
