Doc being careful: As you can imagine, it is not easy to get a perfect specimen from the cervix every time a Pap smear is taken. Sometimes the cytologist (person who reads the Pap smear) reports that there are few endocervical cells--that fewer than desired cells were collected for optimal evaluation. In this case, we like to repeat the Pap in a year so we get another good specimen to evaluate. Nothing is abnormal.

Not sure.: I'm not sure what cells he is describing. If it is your blood count it may be that you are anemic which is usually normal in a menstruating woman. Why not repeat it in a month or two.
