Please see details: There are multiple possibilities. Some women overtime regularly get cramps prior to their periods even without a disease process. Endometriosis commonly causes premenstrual cramps. Your morning-after pill might have interfered with your normal cycles which may be causing the pain. In addition, since you're sexually active, infections can also be responsible including those that are sexually transmitted. Persistent pain needs to be evaluated by a gynecologist.
