Time for consultatn: It is time for you to schedule a visit with your doc and share your interests in becoming pregnant. S/he can work out a plan to make that possible. Many use the pill to make life more predictable for a PCOS patient. That is why the pill was developed to start with, the birth control was a side effect that became its primary use.Pregnancy may take you extra effort, but with help it should be pssibl

Not for long!: A birth control pill for 3 months or so prior to starting Clomid (clomiphene) may increase your chances of getting pregnant. Birth control is frequently prescribed for this purpose. It simulates the menstrual cycle so that when you stop it and go on Clomid (clomiphene), the uterus is ready to receive a fertilized egg. But don't worry, your Doc won't keep you on it very long. Best wishes!

Make appointment: Make an appointment with your OB/GYN to specifically discuss conceiving and what steps she/he plans. In the meantime, if you are overweight do EVERYTHING you can to bring this down. Even a loss of 10% of your body weight can have a significant improvement on your hormonal status. Exercise alone, even without weight loss can be beneficial as well! Best of luck to you.
